Fundraising

Our mission is to provide help and support for those suffering from infertility.

Unlike most other EU countries, Ireland provides no treatment for infertility on the public health service and insurance companies have no obligation to provide cover for infertility. Although a few clinics provide limited services for those with medical cards, in general fertility treatment is only available to those who can afford the thousands of euro each treatment can cost.

Infertility is a medical condition and treatment should not be reserved for the wealthy. There are thousands of couples that are being denied the chance to try for a baby. We need your help to help them.

Do you want to give infertility a run for your money? Or even a brisk walk? We are always looking for runners and walkers to fundraise on our behalf. Please email us on info@pomegranate.ie for a sponsorship card. You can also set up your own fundraising page at www.mycharity.ie.

The Flora Women’s Mini Marathon will be held again this year on the 4th June.  Spaces fill up really quickly so get registered now and run or walk or skip for us. If you would like a sponsorship card, please email us your address or you can download one here. We’ve also got our mycharity page so it’s easy peasy to get sponsorship online. If you need help with that, no problem, we’ll guide you through the process. Get fit and while you’re doing that help someone that really needs you.

If you’re not a runner, there are still lots more things you can do to help us raise money.

Last year we had help from an online company that held an online auction. Another idea is to hold a coffee morning in your home. Some companies have sponsorship for charities – propose Pomegranate!

You can also help by telling your friends and acquaintances. People don’t tend to talk about infertility problems but one in six couples will have difficulty conceiving so chances are you know someone that might like to hear about us.

All money raised for Pomegranate goes directly to helping those in need of treatment. No salaries or personal expenses are taken.

If you have any ideas for fundraising events, please let us know – we would love to work with you!
